Give back does not receive any government grants, which means that we are completely dependent on gifts from individuals and companies. If you donate a gift to us, it is our responsibility to protect your personal information and inform you about how we process it.

How do we collect your personal information?

When you are a donor to us, we need to save certain information about you such as name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. We do this to be able to thank you, give you information about our business and ask you if you want to continue to support us. The legal basis for the collection is a legitimate interest or fulfillment of an agreement when you have chosen to become a monthly donor or make a purchase in our web shop.


If you are a member of our association, we collect name, address, mobile number and e-mail. We save the information in order to be able to administer our relationship with you when you wish to become a member and after you have become a member in order to be able to keep a membership register and administer payments of membership fees. The legal basis is to be able to fulfill agreements with you.


We also collect information when you visit our website, such as how you use the website, if you provide information in our contact form or if you choose to proceed with a donation. We analyze this information in order to reach out and adapt our marketing. By giving your e-mail address, we can also send out information to you. The legal basis is legitimate interest.


We also save data to meet the requirements of the Accounting Act and the legal basis for this is a legal obligation.

Do we disclose your personal information?

Only people who need to process your personal data have access to them.


We will not sell, rent or lease your personal information. If we have a supplier who processes the personal data for which we are responsible for personal data, we have an agreement with them to be able to take care of the accounting of our collection and for the support down to Gambia.

According to the Accounting Act, we must keep financial information for 7 years.

You always have the right to receive information about what personal data we have about you and for what purpose they are processed in a so-called register extract. You always have the right to request that your personal information be deleted and that incorrect information be corrected. You can also in some cases get your personal information out in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. In some cases, we may not be able to fulfill your request due to legal obligations. If this happens, we will inform you about what it is that we can not fulfill your request and then we limit the processing of your information to only fulfill the legal obligation.
